February 2021 suggestions

February is starting with some hope. Vaccines, less severe laws regarding movement here in Italy, and bars opening. I decided to wake up a little bit earlier than the last month, meaning I get up at 7am (I know it’s not that early but I’m going gradually here) for my morning routine. I’m also seriously considering buying a new motorcycle.

February 2021’s book

I’m reading Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman. Interesting stuff, not sure if really practical.

February 2021’s movies

Still watching, with my family, The Office (6th season) for some good laughs. We keep on watching also Monk. I think that, as a person with some OCD tendencies, laughing about it is a nice thing.

February 2021’s activities

I’m into a mindfulness app, Medito. I’m doing the January meditation challenge (yes, I started it at the end of last month). Every morning I meditate using the app for 10 minutes, as part of my morning routine. During the meditation sessions, the app teaches you about some technics you can use while meditating or during the day.

I’m keeping on working out every single morning using Fitify with a bodyweight training for muscle gain, and walking on Saturdays or Sundays for a couple of hours.

I also started the Become a Superlearner Udemy course, that I started a few years ago but never finished. I feel like that incorporating it in my morning routine helps to stick with it!

February 2021’s music

Listening to Bob Seger, a musician that I like but I’ve never really listened to.

February 2021’s lessons

I’m still going on with “A Handbook for New Stoics: How to Thrive in a World Out of Your Control―52 Week-by-Week Lessons“ (or “Live Like A Stoic: 52 Exercises for Cultivating a Good Life” that should be the same thing).

February 2021’s challenge

I was getting used to always drink water and orange soda because my parents use to prepare bottles of it. I decided that it’s not worth to drink it instead of plain water, so I’m only drinking water. Of course, beers are still an option when I’m out with friends or, very occasionally, at home, and it happens to drink some non carbonated juice from time to time.
