Books

Books everyone should read

Reading is important for a variety of reasons. One of the fundamental reasons is that reading develops the mind. Reading is also a method of discovering new things and adding value to our knowledge base. Also, books can teach us a lot of things and let us grow up. You understand your thoughts and emotions more clearly. It makes you realize who you really are and makes your life more meaningful. Reading books makes you a better thinker and a better man (or woman). So, here is a list of some of books that helped me to learn something new or let me improve myself (books titles are Amazon affiliate links).

  • Unlimited Power – Anthony Robbins
For more than 30 years Tony Robbins’ passion has been helping people break through and take their lives to another level–no matter how successful they already are–in the areas that matter most: their business, personal finance, intimate relationships, careers and health. In this book, Robbins discusses how to use one’s mind to achieve goals and success. This book also has a significant amount of NLP material. He writes about subjects such as health and energy, overcoming fears, persuasive communication, and bettering relationships.
  • How to Win Friends & Influence People – Dale Carnegie
For more than sixty years the rock-solid, time-tested advice in this book has carried thousands of now famous people up the ladder of success in their business and personal lives. Carnegie teaches you the attitude you should have when interacting with people to have a better communication and achieve your goals.
  • Zorba the Greek – Nikos Kazantzakis
This book is the tale of a young Greek intellectual who ventures to escape his bookish life (ehm…) with the aid of the boisterous and mysterious Alexis Zorba. I really think that everyone should read this book, as it teaches a lot about living life at the fullest.
  • Mandela’s Way: Lessons on Life, Love, and Courage –  Richard Stengel
More than a biography. this is a compact, profoundly inspiring book that captures the spirit of Nelson Mandela, distilling the South African leader’s wisdom into 15 vital life lessons. This uplifting book captures the spirit of this extraordinary man–warrior, martyr, husband, statesman, and moral leader–and spurs us to look within ourselves, reconsider the things we take for granted, and contemplate the legacy we’ll leave behind
